Meeting the Challenges of The Diana Award
Special EFX’s design team has recently worked on a unique project with JKR Global for The Diana Award. The Inaugural Legacy Award, in memory of Princess Diana, is an outstanding example of how EFX collaborates with clients to push the boundaries of what is possible in trophy design and manufacture.
Multi faceted and 3D trophy
The resulting clear, crystal cube-shaped trophy is internally laser engraved with the 3-dimensional silhouette of Diana, Princess of Wales, which as you turn the cube merges and transforms into the inscription and quote: “Young People Have the Power to Change the World”. The finished effect is stunning and astonishing say The Diana Award. “This new trophy for our Inaugural Legacy Award is truly magnificent. We know the young people carry it with pride and admiration – it is something they will treasure for the rest of their life. We are incredibly grateful to both EFX and JKR Global for their support.”

The Diana Award was set up in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, and her belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better. It is committed to fostering, inspiring and developing positive change in the lives of young people through practical social action, including recognition programmes, a high-profile anti-bullying campaign, mentoring programme and a programme to inspire leadership skills amongst the young.
Inaugural Legacy Award embodies Princess Diana’s qualities
During this 20th Anniversary year The Diana Award is actively seeking supporters to help the charity continue this youth legacy, in memory of Princess Diana, and expand their work that fosters change through positive action with young people. As part of its anniversary activities, The Inaugural Legacy Award trophies were presented 18 May 2017 to 20 special, young people by The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry at St. James’s Palace, London. Those honoured come from varied backgrounds and many have faced significant adversity. The Award recognises each one as embodying Princess Diana’s qualities of kindness, compassion and service.
The Diana Award has also launched a commemorative website celebrating Princess Diana’s legacy – www.dianaslegacy.co.uk– members of the public will be invited to add their thoughts and memories to the website.
