The inaugural Hire Space Awards attracted an impressive line-up of entries and ultimate winners. Hire Space is an online venue booking platform that features thousands of venues around the UK and the Awards highlight some of the most innovative, impressive and those considered by the judges to be simply the best.
Special EFX was commissioned to design and manufacture the trophies for the event this year. Hire Space had a specific objective in mind and reported that the EFX design team nailed the brief: “We wanted to create something that really reflected our brand, that was unique to Hire Space and could easily be associated with us. EFX took our brief and suggested different materials that would help us achieve it. The result was brilliant, it’s instantly recognisable as the Hire Space logo and the green acrylic lights the whole trophy up and looks absolutely incredible in pictures”.
Acid green acrylic adds a punchy note to trophies
The trophies feature the company’s logo made from pierced, mirror-finished nickel plated aluminium, which stands on a laser engraved base and are decorated with a punchy, acid green acrylic overlay.
The Hire Space Awards evening was held at Landing Forty Two, 24th October. Guests were entertained by Hugh Dennis of Mock the Week fame, a strolling acoustic band, and the trio Ember, both provided by Sternberg Clarke. The stunning venue has breath-taking views of London, enhanced on the evening by a backdrop of twinkling ‘Twilight Trees’ to create a magical ambience.
Should you be on the search for potential venues for 2018, you may like to consider the venues that graced the winners’ podium on the evening. These include Lord’s Cricket Ground (Best Customer Care), Barbican (Venue Team of the Year), Searcy’s at the Gherkin (Best Private Dining Venue) and RIBA (Best Conference Venue).
