BYPY Puts Focus on New Trophy to Inspire Best of Birmingham
For anyone who has been part of a committee responsible for the organisation of a major business awards event, you will know just how much work is involved to make it a success. In the mass of arrangements, it can be easy to overlook the obvious and that is the business awards that are presented need to thrill the recipients. In this way, not only do you build the prestige and profile of the event but encourage others to enter the following year.
The new committee running Birmingham’s Young Professional of the Year 2019 Awards (BYPY) from the outset recognised the importance of the design of the trophies. And so Special EFX was contacted to create something outstanding. “As a brand new committee for 2019 we wanted to put our stamp on this year’s event. One of the main changes we wanted to make was to have a trophy that anyone would be proud to have on display!”
Black acrylic provides contemporary appeal for Birmingham business awards
The new trophies are contemporary and compelling: fitting for the biggest event on the calendar for young professionals in Birmingham. Manufactured in black, cast acrylic, they are impressively heavy and imposing, decorated with immaculate detailing. The event’s BYPY logo is recessed and highlighted in gold-plated aluminium for the overall winner and picked out in nickel- plated aluminium on the trophies for the individual category winners. Each award is personalised in bright, white print with the winner’s name and award category.
Without a doubt you would certainly be proud to have one of these sitting on your desk.
The new design got the seal approval from the committee and a spokesperson commented: This trophy design was striking, bold and new. In so many ways it represented exactly what we wanted to achieve with this year’s event.”
Special EFX provides a dedicated, personal service, offering advice and expertise throughout the process. This level of service was much-appreciated: “EFX was fantastic in providing us with ideas and very helpful and patient in dealing with our requirements. The feedback on the trophies has been excellent, better than any previous year.”
Birmingham’s Young Professional of the Year celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2020. The organisers attribute the event’s on-going success to the quality of the applicants, nominees and winners but also the prestigious companies that support the awards each year. This year’s event took place 16 May and was held at the ICC. Over 1000 attended the grand, black-tie event, which was hosted by the hugely entertaining Mark Durden-Smith.
