smartThe aptly named, annual SMaRT awards (Sales, Marketing & Retail Training) recognises the many excellent training initiatives and sales and marketing support provided by manufacturers to pharmacists and their staff.  Communications International Group, the leading publisher for this trade sector and organiser of the event, has commissioned Special EFX to make the awards since 2006, and this year requested the design team to come up with a re-vitalising makeover.smart group

The resulting awards are a marked departure from the previous acrylic designs, being made from gleaminggold plated aluminium with pierced cross detailing and laser engraving.  The winners included giants of industry such as L'Oreal, GlaxoSmithKline and Unilever; organiser Paul Fenton, Commercial Director of CIG is delighted with the impact the new awards create: "The upgrading of the Trophy to weighty metal has given the awards a real boost this year, and has undoubtedly raised their profile in the industry".

sageSage Accredited Accountant Partners are an exclusive group of highly qualified accountants, who have undertaken rigorous training and accreditation in a range of Sage software, and are therefore best positioned to advise current and potential clients about which Sage solutions are best for their businesses.  Sage encourages its Partners to promote their expertise as a point of differentiation, and to coincide with the re-launch of the programme, it commissioned Special EFX to come up with a fresh and contemporary membership plaque.

Daniel Duran, Marketing Campaign Manager at Sage (UK) reports the plaques have been received extremely well: "We are having great feedback from both our Sales team and from our Accountant Partners. We all feel that the plaques reflect the sophisticated nature of the programme perfectly".

Q: So what did the Romans do in Rome?
A: Well, they certainly built thousands of columns!

best romaTaking this to heart, Special EFX's design department have built their own, and created these fabulous awards for the BEST Roma event.  Made in clear, engraved acrylic, they neatly encapsulate the Roman theme and delighted clients, HA Media Global, who wanted to capture the flavour of Rome and its architecture.

Elizabeth Heron, Managing Director, was impressed: “EFX grasped the design brief excellently, and with our original creative ideas and EFX's understanding of materials and production techniques, the finished product was striking".
